When you are told Canada, I am sure that the first thing you think about is probably the freezing cold. It is true that it is a little colder than here, especially in winter, and yet it is a destination that I advise you not to miss in your life.
I once told you reasons to have holiday in Nice and, today, I suggest that you see different places that you can visit once you are in Canada. It is indeed a country in North America, very rich and will undoubtedly allow you to make some great discoveries.
When to go to Canada?
The Canadian climate is greatly influenced by the latitude of each area involved. The further north we go, the lower the temperatures are. Thus, four seasons follow one another during the year, more or less clear depending on the area. On the coasts, the humidity is more important. On the other hand, we notice that the internal laments are quite dry.
Please note that July and August are the hottest months, with temperatures above 20°C. Winter is the longest and most severe season, with temperatures around -20°C in January.
In any case, know that all seasons have their charms when it comes to Canada. Winter is ideal for sliding sports, July and August for camping and take advantage of autumn and spring to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and tranquillity.
If you like museums, this is your paradise
I sincerely believe that Canada is undoubtedly a paradise for those who love museums. There are in fact a number of them and I must confess that the ones I was able to visit were all very interesting.
I suggest you go through the National Gallery of Canada to start. Its architecture attracts the eye first, I’m not going to say any more, letting you discover things on the spot is a better idea. In any case, hat’s off to the one who designed the building. It’s a masterpiece. If you like art, I’m sure you’ll like it here. For my part, I was able to discover many interesting works on the site.
I would then advise you to visit what is known as the Biosphère in Canada. It is actually a kind of monument. A building with a perfect sphere, a simple and elegant architecture, it is certainly one of the most visited places in Montreal I think, and we can understand why.
I also recommend that you take a look at the National Museum of Toronto, I swear it is a great place. When you enter it, at the entrance, it doesn’t look like a museum, but the hall of a prestigious grand hotel. You will see a large collection of art pieces, but also interesting archaeological finds.
The Canadian Museum of History is probably the most beautiful museum I have ever visited in Canada. You will find all of Canada’s history, from the first people to today. What I liked most was this environment dedicated to children, we call it the World Museum for Children. They have reconstructed monuments from all over the world as well as life-sized means of transport for children. It’s very beautiful.
National parks that you must visit
Canada is a part of the world where nature has yet to impose its reign in many areas. If you are a nature lover, I think a trip to Canada would do you a lot of good. There are many interesting natural parks that you can explore there.
I suggest that you consider going first to Banff National Park, which is probably the oldest and most famous park in Canada. It is there that you will be able to find the two most famous places through postcards including the Canadian Rockies and Lake Louise and Moraine. I advise you to go there, especially since it is still a territory far from the noises of the city.
I also recommend that you visit Pacific Rim National Park, which I consider one of the most interesting parks in Canada. I must admit that even if the sun is not always shining, if not never, it is still a very complete park: hiking in its rainforests, endless beaches including Long Beach, excursions that allow whale watching or surfing, lots of things to see and do on the spot.
Then, I recommend that you visit La Mauricie National Park. I know it’s not the most frequented park in Canada, and yet it’s a place I find very interesting. Even better, it is doubtless one of the most beautiful parks in Quebec, you just have to give yourself time to go there to discover its wonders and fully enjoy them.
Finally, I also encourage you to visit Toronto’s 1000 islands. It is one of the places I enjoyed most during my trip to Canada. Located in Lake Ontario, these small islands are almost a small town. A boat trip will allow you to discover them more closely.
Places not to be missed
Niagara Falls, you can’t miss them. In addition, it is likely to be one of Canada’s key destinations. These are indeed spectacular falls. I think their reputation is well established. It is being talked about all over the world and it can be said that seeing them in real life is even more wonderful than seeing them on pictures or postcards.
If you like snow, snowy landscapes and winter sports, choose the best part of the year to travel to Whistler. I say that especially for lovers of sliding sports. Interesting trails await you on the spot, don’t miss them.
I also advise you to visit the Historic Centre of Quebec. It is the oldest non-Hispanic city in North America. Today, it is the capital of the French-speaking province of Quebec, you can discover many very interesting places in this city. You won’t have time to get bored.
I absolutely urge you to visit Hudson Bay when you travel to Canada. Indeed, during the first snowfalls, the water of the bay is frozen so you can enjoy the bears walking around. It is a very special experience to see them.
